Colliding Scopes is committed to supporting social change movements. This commitment is integrated in our analytical approach, where we seek to elucidate power dynamics throughout our work. It is also evident in extensive pro bono work for civil society actors originating from the ‘global south’ with current support to civil society in East Africa and South East Asia.
We are also acutely aware of the financial challenges for civil society, particularly securing unrestricted funds. As such, Colliding Scopes provides 5% of revenue to civil society actors with no strings attached. Currently supported organisations are Kanere refugee-run newspaper, based out of Kakuma, Kenya, and Naushawng Development Institute in Kachin, Myanmar. Both organisations deliver exceptional, genuinely counter-hegemonic work that Colliding Scopes is proud to support.
